Wyoming Registered Agent, $64.99 a year

We receive your legal notices and state correspondence in Cheyenne so you stay compliant, organized and focused on growth.

The basics

What is a Wyoming registered agent?

A Wyoming registered agent is the person or company designated to receive legal and state correspondence on behalf of your business. That includes service of process, such as legal notices or a summons, and official state correspondence and compliance mail.

Wyoming requires every business entity to maintain one. The registered agent must have a physical address in Wyoming and be available during standard business hours.

MAC Enterprise Registered Agent Services Inc. is a Wyoming Commercial Registered Agent, so you can meet that requirement with us and keep us as part of your ongoing business infrastructure.

How it works

Appointing your Wyoming registered agent

To appoint a registered agent, you choose a person or company that agrees to receive legal and state correspondence for you. Their name and address are listed on your formation or registration documents and filed with the Wyoming Secretary of State.

  • LLCs: listed on the Articles of Organization
  • Corporations: listed on the Articles of Incorporation
  • Foreign LLCs: listed on the Application to Register a Foreign LLC
  • Foreign corporations: listed on the Application for Certificate of Authority

Your registered agent must be designated before your business filing is submitted. Already filed with someone else? You can switch any time.

How your registered agent connects to mail handling

With our registered agent service, we receive your legal and state correspondence and make it available in your secure online account. That covers:

  • Receipt of legal notices and state correspondence
  • Secure access to documents through your online account
  • Baseline handling for compliance documents

As a registered Commercial Mail Receiving Agency, we are authorized to receive and process mail for you. To receive everyday business mail, like bank cards and statements, add a mail plan. USPS Form 1583 is required: it verifies your identity and authorizes us to receive, open and scan your mail.

Registered agent questions

Good to know

Can I be my own Wyoming registered agent?

You can if you have a physical street address in Wyoming and are available there during business hours. Most business owners who live outside Wyoming, or who would rather keep their home address off the public record, use a commercial registered agent.

Will my registered agent address be public?

Yes. The registered agent's name and address are on file with the Wyoming Secretary of State. When MAC is your agent, our Cheyenne address is the one listed, not yours.

Can I use the registered agent address for my bank or the IRS?

The registered agent address exists to receive lawsuits and official state notices. For your bank, the IRS, vendors and credit applications, use your own suite address, which comes with our Wyoming packages along with mail handling.

Does registered agent service include filing my annual report?

Registered agent service on its own does not. You can add annual report filing for $99 plus the state fee, or choose a package, which includes the filing and the $60 minimum state fee.
